Al Franken is the perfect choice for the United States Senate. Every royal court needs a jester just like every village needs
an idiot – and Franken meets or exceeds both of these requirements.
While Senate Democrats were in deep ……. thought over Roland Burris’s perfectly legal appointment to fill Obama’s Senate
vacancy, Franken is literally ransacking Minnesota’s house. Blagojevich must be laughing himself into stomach cramps.
Chicago politics at it’s finest.
Ordinarily, I’d feel sympathy for Minnesotans, but they’ve only got themselves to blame. After all, ninety-nine percent of all
voters bussed in from out-of-state and fifty percent of all Minnesota voters, living and dead, voted for him at least once. In
reality, this contest should never have been close. One expects this sort of thing in New York or California where reality is
soup du jour, but in Minnesota?
That’s like Nevada sending Harry Reid to the Senate!! Oh wait, they’ve already done that.
It’s been painfully obvious for years that both houses of Congress are major jokes. If Franken is seated in the U.S. Senate,
they’ll have finally found their punch line.
This is going to be really, really painful.
