Super Stupor

In 2007, the government spent $160 billion MORE than it received in revenues.  In 2008 it spent $454 billion MORE.
Then Obummer took charge, and for two years with the help of a Reid-led Senate and Pelosi-controlled Congress, he
got everything on his Christmas wish-list.

The result:   the government spent $1.4 trillion more than it had in 2009, $1.3 trillion more in 2010 and another $1.3
trillion more than it received in 2011.   That’s TRILLION – with a “T.”

So, as everyone expected, the Congressional “super” committee charged with reining in President Obummer’s
runaway spending has produced a super stupor.   Any committee with John Kerry and Patty Murray was doomed to
failure.   No one seriously expected any thing out of them.

The all-important goal of this fabled and fabulously stupid Super Committee was to lower the deficit by $1.2 trillion.
Why bother?   If that’s all you’re going to do, it means you’ve already accepted the premise that what liberal
Democrats have done to increase the size and scope of government is perfectly acceptable.

It’s obvious that all of the media coverage –all of the “hubbub”- was to find another scapegoat for Obummer because
his “blame Bush” strategy was wearing awfully thin.

Since he can’t run on his record, the only hope he has to win re-election is to convince enough voters that his failed
policies and his exorbitant spending is somebody else’s fault.   What better way to pin the blame somewhere else
(like on a “do nothing” Congress) than with this Super Committee nonsense?   This entire charade was
choreographed merely to give Obummer some cover (as if the media wouldn’t have blamed someone else, anyway.)

Obummer was quick to address the super committee’s failure to produce a solution to the deficit problem.  And main
stream media ideologues are only too happy to offer their assistance in the scheme.  Hours before the official
announcement of the committee’s failure, CNN, PMSNBC and the rest of Obummer’s Palace Guards were on full
offense blaming Republicans.

Oddly enough, no one found any faults with the liberal democrats on the committee.

What the media won’t tell you is that this “do nothing” Republican Congress has already passed Cut, Cap, and
Balance and the Ryan Plan – which would have saved much more than the $1.2 trillion this Super-duper committee
was incapable of finding.

And the media won’t tell you that the House of Representatives has passed a federal BUDGET for the first time in over
two years (that’s right Nancy: Congress has a duty to provide a budget, something you failed to do) or that Obummer’
s own Bowles-Simpson Committee recommendations saved much more than the $1.2 trillion.    I wonder whatever
happened to THAT committee’s report?

And you definitely aren’t going to hear the media say that Obummer and his liberal buddies have a serious spending
problem that they absolutely refuse to do anything about.

The real extremists are those who want to keep spending at current levels (or more) regardless of what is done with
taxes. With socialist security, medicare, medicaid and Obamacare projected to create unfunded liabilities into the
TENS OF TRILLIONS over the next few decades, to be against any sort of reform –any reduction in costs of any of
these programs- is not only irresponsible, it’s INSANE!

The end of ALL entitlements is a lot closer than most people realize.  All it takes is one failed treasury bond auction.
Our government's inability to SLOW the spending growth at all, much less, (gasp) SPEND LESS should shake
everyone's confidence in treasuries.

Besides, there isn’t enough income to tax to pay for everything liberals want - even if they took 100% of it!  Even if they
started confiscating wealth and not just income!   With 47% of the population being complete parasites, it’s becoming
less and less profitable to actually work and be productive.  When the remaining 53% still paying taxes dwindle into
the minority and realize this, any thought of ever balancing the budget or paying down the debt becomes impossible.

Lord knows I’m not a big fan of politicians – ANY politicians- but somebody has to do something besides point fingers
and campaign for re-election – even if that something isn’t what you want them to do.
