I R A T E  D O G
Yes, We Can!!

February 8th, 2009

Forgetting, for the moment, that America was promised change we could believe in, I have begun to realize the real meaning of President Obama’s
campaign slogan.   It is not simple campaign rhetoric or the clever turning of a phrase.   President Obama has, in these three simple words
provided the answers to questions Americans, apparently, been asking themselves.

In what I’m sure will soon top the New York Times Best Seller List “Obama:   The First Fifteen Days” answers questions that have apparently been
troubling Americans all over the world.

Can a newly-elected president fill his cabinet with proven tax evaders, dodgers and cheats?   Why, yes we can!

Can we send a new Vice-President as America’s representative into the world with a fully-loaded mouth, completely un-muzzled, fully-automatic
and allowed to fire in any direction and at any time? Why, yes we can!

Can we get the American public to forget what we said less than three months about lobbyists and bipartisanship and transparency of
government? Why, yes we can!

Can we hire a complete incompetent as Press Secretary without the Press realizing it? Why, yes we can!

Can we use an economic recession as cover to cook the largest package of pork ever proposed by a legislative body anywhere? Why, yes we
can!

And now for the two questions that’ve been on my mind in the first fifteen days of Obama:

Can we survive the next four years?   Can we change this in 2012?

Why, yes we can!
